IF Magazine profiles Chrysaor Studios as a Gold Coast production facility with a difference. As a certified social enterprise film studio, Chrysaor reinvests at least 50 per cent of its profits into building career pathways for emerging filmmakers. The Varsity Lakes studios, which officially opened in January, were founded by producer, director and writer Christopher Amos, whose credits include the Netflix documentary Hating Peter Tatchell. The piece looks at how the model links commercial facility hire to genuine industry access and training.
